A Turbine Flow Meter is a precision flow measurement instrument used to measure the volumetric flow rate of clean liquids, gases, and low-viscosity fluids. It operates on the turbine principle, where the flowing fluid causes a multi-bladed rotor to rotate at a speed proportional to the flow velocity. The rotational speed is detected by a magnetic pickup or electronic sensor and converted into a flow signal for accurate flow measurement and totalization.
Turbine Flow Meters offer high accuracy, excellent repeatability, and fast response, making them suitable for custody transfer, batching, dosing, fuel measurement, water distribution, and industrial process control applications. The meter is available with local indication and electronic transmitters providing outputs such as pulse, frequency, 4–20 mA, and communication protocols for integration with PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems.
